Having a NAS in your home is awesome and super beneficial! Being able to store and secure all your data and important backups.

I decided to set up a NAS on my home network with Synology's 4-bay 3.5 drive NAS. I started by finding the IP address of the NAS on my UDMSE, once I was able to determine its IP address I went to the web and typed in the IP hoping to find the NAS's web interface. From there, I had to set up the NAS, so I created the system users for each person in my household to use. I decided to give everyone their own folder that can only be accessed by only them, and one shared folder for software. The amount of storage that I have available is 10TB with Raid 5 enabled. I plan on having many future projects that I will be deploying, thanks to the help of this storage device.
